Dipl. Architect Engineer (M.Arch, University of Thessaly) | Designer
Roula Banou is an architect and interior designer with a multidisciplinary background that bridges architecture, design, and scenography. She holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Thessaly, complemented by studies at the Politecnico di Milano in the MSc Architecture and Urban Design. Her academic path also includes a Diploma in Interior Architecture, Decoration and Object Design, as well as specialized seminars in Scenography & Production Design.
Her professional experience spans a wide range of projects — from private residences to large-scale developments — with involvement in all stages, from concept design to project management and construction supervision. Through these collaborations, she has cultivated a strong balance between creativity and technical precision.
For her, design is storytelling — a choreography of light, space, and human presence,creating atmospheres that are grounded yet open to evolution, in line with the philosophy of Rū Studio.
